INSTANT POT SHRIMP

A quick and tasty meal to make is Instant Pot shrimp. You can prepare an instantaneous sauce with the liquid you cook them in or scrap it.

Shrimp can be cooked in numerous ways, cook it right out of the freezer, make garlic infused stir-fry, or poach it. That being said, my obsession with my Instant Pot inclined me to try cooking the shrimp in it!

I was pleased with the result, and it also took no time at all! They are quite remarkable, to be honest, considering the sauce you get without putting in a lot of extra work.

You have got to be using thawed out shrimp. First off, make sure to remove the tail if you want to, devein and peel the shrimp.

Next, combine the shrimp, half a cup of water or chicken broth, a clove of garlic (crushed up), a tablespoon of butter, an eighth of a teaspoon of red pepper (or not if you don’t want to), and an eighth of a teaspoon of salt. Crank the pot to high pressure for a minute.

Yep, that’s all the time it will need. Cook for another minute once it heats. Turn the nob the knob to Venting to release the pressure. Take the lid off once all the steam has left and the button has dropped.

Use a straining spoon to remove the shrimp that is sitting in the water. Now you can either get rid of the fluid left behind or whip up a sauce out of it. Either way, your shrimp is ready to be served!
